MHS Qualifies for Nationals!

On behalf of the Lake Minnetonka Sailing School, we would like to congratulate team Minnetonka for a 3rd place finish at Mallory Qualifiers. Finishing in the top three has secured them a birth to Nationals! Mallory Nationals will be held at the Chicago Yacht Club May 10-12th. Good luck and sail fast skippers!

Get Marooned on Lighthouse Island, June 1, 2013

This is our annual fundraiser and is not to be missed! This year’s theme is a Gilligan’s Island costume contest!

TRANSPORATION: 

Pontoon service will start at 5:30pm and run throughout the evening from Park Avenue to Lighthouse Island.  Please park at the Deephaven Elementary School, 4452 Vine Hill Road, Deephaven, Minnesota 55391.  Shuttles will return you to the dock at 19500 Park Avenue where transportation will be provided back to the Deephaven Elementary School.

 

WHY WE FUNDRAISE:

The Lake Minnetonka Sailing School and Lighthouse Island serve as the perfect backdrop for what will be a wonderful Summer party of community building, food and fun, all benefitting LMSS.  In addition to the great food, music and atmosphere, the evening will include games and auctions raising much needed funds for our Sailing School.

 

LMSS is a non-profit organization.  Our class fees cover operating costs but not capital replacements.  LMSS relies on donations to cover the purchase of new boats, motors, sails, etc…. to keep the sailing school running.  In addition, LMSS must have funds to maintain the facilties on Lighthouse Island including maintenance to the clubhouse, the island and equipment.  Please show your support for our Lake Minnetonka Sailing School and our youth sailors and join us for this special, sure to be enjoyable, evening.
