Women on the Water
For LMSS women looking to learn the basics of sailboat racing
Calling all lady sailors! This is a great way to get out on the water with all female sailors and learn the basics of sailing or go even further and get some racing experience under your belt. The class is taught by women, for women! No experience required.
- Taught in 23′ Sonar Keelboats, 4 – 5 sailors per boat
- Curriculum includes understanding points of sail, and sailing upwind and downwind through discussion, diagrams, and participation
- Class size is limited to 20 sailors per session
Our mission here at LMSS is to ignite a lifetime passion for the sport of sailing. This offering creates a fun learning environment that promotes women to get more involved with the sport. Whether you have campers in our program, you’ve always wanted to try sailing or you are a seasoned sailor- we would love to have you come out.
