Event begins at 5pm, shuttle service available beginning at 4:45pm from Deephaven Elementary School (4452 Vine Hill Road). Shuttles run all evening.

High School Sailors Qualify for National Championships
/in Uncategorized /by adminMembers of the Minnetonka High School Sailing Team placed first of 20 teams at the MISSA (Midwest Interscholastic Sailing Association) Mallory District Qualifier — the spring co-ed fleet racing championship for Midwest High School sailing. The MHS Skippers head to the ISSA Mallory Doublehanded National Championship May 10-12 in Seattle, WA. See results.
Following the Mallory District Qualifier, Skipper sailors also won the MISSA Baker Team Race District Qualifier (in a tie-breaker/sail-off) earning a berth at ISSA Baker Team Race National Championship May 24-26 in Portland, ME, racing among the nation’s top high school sailing teams. See results.
US Sailing Instructor Certification @LMSS
/in Uncategorized /by adminLake Minnetonka Sailing School is pleased to host upcoming US Sailing Instructor Certification sessions. If you see coaching in your future or want to become certified, consider enrollment in one of the following classes: Small Boat Instructor Level 1 (June 3-6) or Small Boat Instructor Level 2 (May 31 – June 1).
Course topics include classroom and on-the-water teaching techniques, risk management, safety issues, lesson planning, creative activities, ethical concerns, and sports physiology and psychology.
