LMSS College Night – Thank You!

Thank you to all those who came out and participated in the LMSS College Night.  There was a solid mix of current HS sailors, and those who are currently involved in College Sailing or participated in the past.  A lot of good information was shared, from fundraising for a club sailing team to participating on a Varsity team, there was a wide range of experiences.  The best aspect of the conversation was how sailing in HS can really boost your ability to get accepted to the school of choice either through introducing yourself to the coach, or having an after school activity like sailing that can show the ability to balance a schoolwork and a sport.  While sailing may not garner a full scholarship, it certainly can aid in the admissions process.

At the very least, it was nice to talk about sailing in the middle of January!  Thank you to all the LMSS Alums who a participated, and hopefully we can gain momentum for this event in future years and continue to grow High School and College Sailing in the Midwest!

See you on the water soon!
