STEM and Sailing — 10-14
This class will run for full day, week-long sessions. 8:30-3:30. With only 8 sailors per class, the instructor (with potential special guests) will lead the group in a sailing-related STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) activities related to the 2025 theme of “How is a sailboat like an airplane?,” then the group (led by instructor), will spend the rest of the day sailing around the lake on one of our 23’ Sonar Keelboats or 420 Dinghy Sailboats.
Taught in 23′ Sonar Keelboats, 420 Dinghy Sailboats, and on-land.
Sailing curriculum includes hands-on understanding points of sail, and sailing upwind and downwind through discussion, diagrams, and participation.
Sign up for “Island Time” – the LMSS early drop-off/late pick-up program for drop-off as early as 8am and pickup as late as 4pm
