It’s not too late to start racing, and 420 Race Team is the perfect class for students aged 12-18 who have some experience and are looking to participate in a competitive environment along with returning advanced racers. More information can be found in the 2021 420 Fact Sheet.
- Class is taught in 420 racing sailboats with spinnaker and trapeze
- 420 sailboats are included in the fee and provided by LMSS.
- Coaches will work individually with Intermediate and Advanced sailors to further their goals.
- Sailors are encouraged to participate in local regattas (part of Twin Cities Youth Sailing) and US Sailing Area K Qualifier.
- Class size is limited to 18 sailors

*Additional regatta travel fees will apply outside of the Twin Cities. Participants attending the event will be responsible for their travel expenses in addition to covering lodging, rental vehicles, gas, and food for LMSS staff. LMSS will cover all staff hourly & salary expenses. A detailed breakdown will be provided prior to the start of the event. Contact LMSS for more information.
