It is never too late to get out on the lake and discover a love of sailing. There is something very satisfying about having the wind in your face, the motion of a boat under you, and the pressure of the helm in your hand.

We have customized the teaching systems that have been so successful in our beginning youth sailing programs to fit adult needs. You will learn rigging, wind reading, basic racing rules, knots, boating safety, landing and the basics of weight position, sail trim and steering technique while sailing upwind and down. Our 420s are the ideal boat for beginners to learn — not too fast, but responsive enough to give feedback.

The sessions include a Minnetonka Yacht Club (MYC) Grill ‘N’ Chill dinner and refreshments after every session. This is an excellent opportunity to meet MYC members, get a great meal and relax on the island while sampling the sailing lifestyle.

Our Adult Sailing Program makes learning to sail fun. We will be partnering with the Minnetonka Yacht Club to guide you to the next level by crewing or taking private lessons.
